Annual Mouse River Loop Envirothon
was held Wednesday, September 16th

Team members on the MLS-Mohall Mavericks II team are left to right: Leandra Bohm, Kayla Mortensen, Shannon Asheim, Allison Voigt, Madison Schmidt, and Emily Brendsel.

After the trail tests were corrected and the oral presentations were scored the winners of the 2015 MRLE were announced as follows: 1st place - Minot High Junior Team; 2nd place - Minot High Senior Team; and 3rd place - Kenmare Screaming Fire Kittens. Other schools and teams participating were Glenburn Yellow Panthers, Glenburn Purple Panthers, Powers Lake Enviro-men, Powers Lake A-Team, Bishop Ryan Cougars, Bishop Ryan Wounded Bird, DesLacs/Burlington Lakers, Berthold - Team Berthold, Berthold - Berthold Squad, Kenmare Dauntless, Minot High Sophomores, MLS-Mohall Mavericks I, and MLS-Mohall Mavericks II.

Mouse River Loop Pheasants held their annual Youth Hunting Camp

The Mouse River Loop Pheasants held their 15th annual Youth Hunting Camp at the Mohall Country Club on Sunday, September 27th. There were at total of 23 youth who participated in the camp this year.

Mohall Beautification Committee will host their annual Fall Festival Sunday, October 11th
This coming Sunday, October 11th, 2015, the Mohall Beautification Committee will host their annual Mohall Fall Festival, which is also known as the “Anne and Walter Gokavi Fall Festival.” The soup and bread luncheon will be held at the Millennium Hall building, located on Mohall’s Main Street, from 11:00 a.m. to 1:00 p.m., with several businesses furnishing the soups, as well as french bread, crackers, lemonade, and coffee.

Businesses who have graciously agreed to provide the soups this year are: Hefty Seed - Wisconsin Cheese; Gooseneck Implement - Kneophla; Farmers Union Oil Co. - Chicken Tortilla with chips; Citizens State Agency - Chicken Noodle; and The Prairie Bistro/Flower House - Chicken and Wild Rice. The Good Samaritan Society - Mohall will again be providing the french bread and butter; the Paragon Cafe is providing the crackers; Jason’s Super Foods - take home containers and soup bowls; Dakota West Credit Union - Lemonade; Thrifty White Drug - Coffee; and the Beautification Committee and friends - the bars.

The Mohall Beautification Committee appreciates all the support and contributions that they have received in the past, and they hope that you will continue to support them by attending the Anne and Water Gokavi Fall Festival Fundraiser this year on Sunday, October 11th. There will be a “free will” offering. Funds will be used to maintain the beautification projects throughout Mohall, which includes the Flowers on Main Street each year.
