Mohall Midgets win 2 and lose 1 at Surrey Midget Tournament
The Mohall Midgets were in Surrey on Wednesday, July 2nd for a Tournament. A total of eight teams participated in the tournament with four teams in each pool. Teams from each pool played each other, with the top team from each pool advancing to play for the championship.

Mohall was in the pool with a team from Minot, Drake/Anamoose, and Garrison. Mohall finished their pool with 2 wins and 1 loss. Minot advanced from this pool. Results from their game were as follows:

Mohall vs. Minot
The Mohall team faced Minot in their first game of pool play. Minot pulled off the win, as they edged the Mohall Midgets by a score of 1 to 0. The boys from Mohall never even got a hit in the game.

On the mound and taking the loss for Mohall was Bryden Santos. Rhyder Jorgensen was behind the plate catching.

Mohall vs. Drake/Anamoose
Mohallís second game of the day was against Drake/Anamoose. Mohall won that game 7 to 1. Winning battery for Mohall was Brock Depute, on the mound throwing; and Caleb Foltyn, catcher.

Credited with hits for the Mohall team were: Bryden Santos, who was 2 for 2 with a triple; Corbin Hall was 1 for 2; Brock Depute was 1 for 2; Brayden Volk was 1 for 2; Caleb Foltyn was 1 for 2; and Jacob Undlin was 1 for 2.

Mohall vs. Garrison
Mohallís Midgets matched up against Garrison in their final pool play game. Mohall won that contest 5 to 1. Winning pitcher for Mohall was Lucas Undlin, with Rhyder Jorgensen catching.

Getting hits for Mohall in this game were: Corbin Hall, who was 1 for 2; Gannon Hall was 2 for 2; Brock Depute was 1 for 2 with a double; Brayden Volk was 1 for 2 with a double; Garrett Schmidt was 2 for 2; and Rhyder Jorgensen was 1 for 2.

Mohall to host a Midget Tournament
on Tuesday, July 15th at the Fairgrounds

A Midget baseball tournament will be held at the Mohall Fairgrounds on Tuesday, July 15th. Teams participating will be Mohall, Powers Lake, Kenmare, Crosby, Stanley, Tioga, and Lignite. Tournament action will begin at 9:30 a.m., with games being played on both fields throughout the day. This will be a double elimination tournament. All games will be five innings, with a 15 run rule in effect after three innings, and a 10 run rule in effect after the fourth inning.

Pitchers are allowed to pitch a maximum of six innings in a day.

Pairings for the opening round games are as follows:
9:30 a.m.: Mohall vs. Lignite on the north diamond; and Stanley vs. Kenmare on the south diamond.
10:45 a.m.: Powers Lake vs. Crosby on the south diamond; and Tioga vs. Mohall/Lignite winner on the north diamond.

All games will start five minutes after the previous game. A complete schedule of the games will be posted on the quonset at the Fairgrounds.

Medals will be awarded to the top three teams. Admission to the tournament is $2.00 for adults and $1.00 for children 12 years of age and under.
