By LaVonne Erickson

KBMLS was back on the diamonds on Friday, April 22nd when they hosted Stanley in a makeup game at Kenmare. The game had originally been scheduled for Monday, April 18th in Mohall, but had to be rescheduled due to the weather conditions.

Stanley got on the boards first, as they scored a run in the top of the second inning to take the early lead. However, that lead was short lived, as KBMLS scored four runs in the bottom of the third and another run in the bottom of the fourth to go up 5 to 1. Stanley came back in the top of the fifth and scored four runs to tie the game up at 5 to 5. However, KBMLS scored two runs of their own in the bottom of the fifth to regain the 7 to 5 lead. That lead would be short lived though, as Stanley came back and scored four runs and now lead 9 to 7. KBMLS was able to cut the lead to just one, 9 to 8, as they scored a run in the bottom of that inning. Stanley finished out the scoring with three runs in the top of the seventh and KBMLS was unable to answer, giving Stanley the 12 to 8 win.

Losing battery for KBMLS was Calli Brackenbury, pitcher, and Hallie Schmidt, catcher.

Becca Schoenberg, center fielder for KBMLS, gets ready to slide into home base and beat out the throw for her home run in their game against Stanley.
