Harry Fuller

March 25, 1921 to July 13, 2014

Harry “Bud” Fuller, 93, Minot, formerly of Sherwood, died Sunday, July 13, 2014, at Trinity Hospital, in Minot.

His funeral service was held on Friday, July 18, 2014, at 2:00 p.m., at Our Savior Lutheran Church, Sherwood.

Officiating at the service was Reverend Norman Paskowsky.

Soloist was Marsha DesLauriers, and organist was Jane Kalmbach.

Casketbearers were Rob, Jason, and Brett Fuller, Clinton Berglof, Jeff Hinderks, and Craig Hanson.

Burial took place at the Sherwood Union Cemetery, Sherwood.

Bud was born March 25, 1921, on the family farm near Sherwood, to Harry E. and Hulda (Johnson) Fuller. He graduated from Sherwood High School in 1938.

On November 15, 1942, he married LaVern Nehring, in Plentywood, MT. Farming in Prosperity Township, Renville County, was Bud’s life. He also worked at South Umpqua Dairy in Myrtle Creek, OR, for 11 years during the winter months where LaVern taught school. Each spring they returned to North Dakota to spend the summer months farming. They returned to Sherwood full time in 1968. They lived on the family farm until October 2006, when they moved to Somerset Court in Minot.

After retirement, Bud was nicknamed “Highway 83 Harry” by his brother-in-law because he and LaVern spent a lot of time traveling to visit their children and grandkids. It was a topic that brought a lot of humor to the family. LaVern died June 8, 2007.

He is survived by his sons, Robert (Jerri) Fuller, Minot, and Steve (Sheri) Fuller, Bismarck; daughter, Janet Henry, Richmond, VA; and son-in-law, Laverne Berglof, Jamestown; eight grandchildren; eight great-grandchildren; brothers-in-law, Gene (Rene) Nehring and Dwayne (Maxine) Nehring; sister-in-law, Delores Kinsman; and many nieces and nephews.

Bud was preceded in death by his parents; wife, LaVern; daughter, Carol Berglof; infant son, Douglas; and sisters, Virdene Peterson, Charleen Kessler, and Louise Fuller.

Carol Evanger

October 17, 1939 to July 16, 2014

Carol Ann Evanger, 74, Bismarck, formerly of Mohall, died Wednesday, July 16, 2014, in a Bismarck hospital.

Her funeral service was held Saturday, July 19, 2014, at 11:00 a.m., at United Methodist Church, Mohall.

Officiating at the service was Reverend Don Andrews, and organist was Vonda Schmidt.

Burial took place in the Mohall Community Cemetery, Mohall.

Carol was born October 17, 1939, in Mohall, to Raymond and Mabel (Brekhus) Allen. She was raised on a farm west of Mohall and graduated from Mohall High School in 1957. She attended Minot State Teachers College for one year.

She married Harry Evanger on November 15, 1958, in Mohall. They lived in various cities, including Seattle, WA, Great Lakes, IL, San Diego, CA, San Francisco, CA, and Honolulu, HI, while Harry served in the U.S. Navy.

When Harry retired, they moved to Bismarck and later Beulah. They moved to Mohall and purchased the Mohall Motel and operated that for 15 years. They sold the motel and retired in 2003, and moved to Bismarck in 2011.

Carol enjoyed sewing, crafts, crocheting, candle making, cooking, making Christmas ornaments, reading, traveling, and visiting her grandchildren and great-grandchildren.

She is survived by her husband, Harry Evanger, Bismarck; son, Craig (Jakki) Evanger, Louisville, KY; daughter, Valarie (Mark) Wanner, Bismarck; six grandchildren; two great-grandchildren; brothers, Delmer (Judy) Allen, Yucca Valley, CA, Calman (Laura) Allen, Walla Walla, WA, and Randy Allen, Fargo; brother-in-law, Robert Kjos, Fargo; and numerous nieces, nephews, and cousins.

Carol was preceded in death by her parents; son, Mark Evanger; infant brother; brother, Kenny Allen; and sister, Mavis Kjos.

Edith Clark

May 13, 1934 to July 17, 2014

Edith Maye Clark, 80, Maxbass, died Thursday, July 17, 2014, at her home.

Her funeral service was held on Monday, July 21, 2014, at 10:30 a.m., at English Lutheran Church, Maxbass.

Officiating at the service was Reverend Desiree Uhrich.

Vocalists were Amy Eklund and Charlotte Gwynn; and organist was JoAnn Stevens.

Burial was in the Eckman Riverside Cemetery, rural Maxbass.

Edith was born May 13, 1934, on the family farm near Sherwood, to Clayton and Mary (Sarvis) Lindemood. She was raised on the farm, attended North Prosperity School, and graduated from Sherwood High School in 1952. She attended Minot State Teachers College for one year.

She married Harold Brekhus in 1954. She taught at a country school in New Rockford Township near Norma while he was in the service. They moved to Kenmare and began a family of eight children. They later divorced.

Edith and Herbert Clark were married June 8, 1974, at Nazareth Lutheran Church, Kenmare. They lived on his family farm southeast of Maxbass where they farmed, and together, raised their children, cattle, sheep, and a bountiful garden. Herb died November 2, 2013.

She was a member of English Lutheran Church, Maxbass, WELCA, church council, Eckman Riverside Cemetery Association, 4-H leadership, election board, Maxbass Garden Club, as well as driving school bus for 26 years. In her later years, she joined an oil painting class which produced many family portraits and stills for her family to now enjoy.

Survivors include her children, Amy (Dan) Eklund, Columbus, Charlotte (Hugh) Gwynn, Havre, MT, Wayne (Jackie) Brekhus, Plain City, OH, Annette (Brett) Borst, Havre, MT, Karen (Steve) Mulonet, Havre, MT, Connie (David) George, Hingham, MT, Jowell (Aly) Brekhus, Havre, MT, James (Amber) Brekhus, Wilmington, NC; stepchildren, Julie (Vern) Erck, Burlington, Cindy Strandberg, Minot, Brenda (Allen) Kunka, Gold Canyon, AZ, Randy (Jackie) Clark, Maxbass, Troy (Lynn) Clark, Minot, Rhonda Clark, Colorado Springs, CO, and Vicki (William) Finke, Chugiak, AK; 41 grandchildren; 58 great-grandchildren; brother, Kenneth Lindemood, Duluth, MN; sisters, Lucille Feist, Minot, Lorna Lindemood, Minot; and numerous nieces, nephews, and cousins.

Edith was preceded in death by her parents; husband, Herbert Clark; stepson, Brent Clark; three grandchildren; brother, Tom Lindemood; sisters-in-law, Deana Lindemood and Jan Lindemood.
