Good Samaritan Society - Mohall to host Kelly Vig Memorial Walk, Silent Auction, and Community Picnic today, Sept. 10th

Sponsors have again been sought for the annual run/walk, and as of Friday, September 5th those who have graciously come forward to help out include: Citizens State Agency, Miller Electric, Tracy’s Market, O’Keeffe Oil, Green Ag Services, Walter and Anne Gokavi, The Flower House Garden Center, Judy Baker, Dick and Vickie Paige, Ken and Marsha Eldred, Tom and Deb Bolton, Susan Mathiason, Farmers Union Insurance - Jessica Fitzsimmons Agent, Renville County Farmer. Tuffy’s Pump Shop, and Dakota West Credit Union.

The Community Picnic will begin around 5:00 p.m., as people start finishing up with the walk/run. They will be serving hamburgers, hot dogs, two salads, a dessert salad, potato chips, and ice cream.

As for the Basket Silent Auction, you have several nice baskets to bid on. As of Friday, September 5th there were a total of 30 baskets on display at the Center and available for people to start bidding on. Bidding on the baskets will continue until 6:00 p.m., with the highest bidder at that time taking home the basket.

All of the baskets were donated by staff members, businesses, or individuals. Those donating baskets include: Good Samaritan Society - Mohall donated four in memory of George Whipple and one regular basket; Emery and Cindy Duben, Kathy Raap, Cenex, Gate City Bank, Good Samaritan Society - Mohall Auxiliary, Kenny Strand family, Paragon Cafe, Simply Petals, Connie Elliott, Heather K., Jones HomeGrowns, Nancy Sandeen, Citizens State Bank at Mohall, Good Samaritan Society - Mohall Activities Department, Lenora Stevenson, Dick and Vickie Paige, Thrifty White Drug, Citizens State Agency, Dr. Ted and Peggy Brown, Beth Schoenberg, Renville County Farmer, GSS-Mohall Housekeeping Department, Colette Bryan, Custom Rocks, and one anonymous.
