I for one do enjoy Mr. ellis' humour. But his article last week about his friend who is a soldier was his best. It was serious and moving and well written. And it should be sent to other outlets with larger circulation. Probably around Nov 11th.

One of my grandsons and I ran all over the area in May. He got a job in Williston. It was bitter sweet to go through Lignite, Portal, Columbus and Crosby and other communities, but good to see some I hadn't seen in years

My wife Betty and I were privileged to see and hear the Powers Lake High School Band perform at a music festival in Arvada, Colorado on Saturday, May 14. In spite of having less than 30 members, the band sounded like a polished 100 member band-full sound, excellent timing, great musicality. . . we were impressed. As graduates of Powers Lake High School, Betty and I were proud to be in the audience to witness such a wonderful performance. Congratulations to Sue Gunderson, the conductor, and all of the musicians-a job well done!

Does anyone remember O.J. and Glady Fisher from Bowbells? Their daughter Dodie Fisher-Strandberg and Ed Strandberg. I am their granddaughter/daughter and will be coming to Bowbells next month to see the sights and have a lovely memory staying and driving around the town and wheat fields.

preliminary plans are being formed to have a combined class of 60, 61 and 62 reunion in Bismarck ND August 5,6,7 2011. In 2005 I went to visit Bowbells,ND and felt like I was coming home.I traveled for five days from Los Fresnos,Texas just to see the place and the people are wonderful.
